Manuelino Dixit is a fascinating stool inspired by the Manueline style, typical of the Discoveries Age. It is a remarkable piece, hand painted using the trompe l’oeil technique to join this ancient art with contemporary design. The stool Manuelino Dixit is materialized using the technique of Acrylic Painting in trompe lóeil with varnish finishing. The architect and painter was challenged to apply her skills and sensitivity using the stool Erosion as a base. After study and experiment development over a week, it was achieved the intended visual effect, the mimics of architectural shapes in furniture, creating the illusion of three-dimensionality, light and shadow. This piece recreates maritime monuments in the Manueline style.
